Attached to our school is a Ministry of Education base.
Our school playground consists of a flat grass and concrete area with a large adventure playground about to be upgraded. We have a great fitness track recently installed after fundraising and construction by our PTA. The children also have access to the Cross Recreation Centre and the Borough Sports ground adjacent to the back entrance of the school.
There are 7 (soon to be 8) Classroom Teachers, two Part-time Release Teachers, a part time Reading Recovery Teacher, a Principal, three RTLB and one R.T. Lit Teacher, one Attendance Officer, four Teacher Aides, a School Secretary, a part-time Caretaker and a part-time Cleaner.
Staff are dedicated and very hard working, and have a very positive relationship with Board of Trustees and Parent Teachers’ Association.
Teachers are actively involved in professional development, through involvement in a range of seminars, in-service and courses.
With parental support, children are involved in a wide range of cultural and sporting events.
